NEET Paper Analysis for Entrance Exam Preparation 2023
NEET 2020 exam for admission to MBBS/ BDS was conducted on 13 September 2020 in Single shift from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Approximately 15.97 lakh students appeared for the Exam. According to the Venper experts, the NEET 2020 exam was one of the easiest in the past few years, and the NEET CUT off expected to be high.
Reactions of AspirantsAccording to the students, NEET 2020 question paper was easier as compared to the last year and most of them think that the cut off of NEET 2020 will be high for the 2020 academic year. The majority of the students found the difficulty of the NEET 2020 exam Moderate to Easy.
Venper ExpertsIf we talk about the overall exam analysis of NEET 2020 most of the aspirants found the questions quite easy. The physics paper was found to be as same standard that of last year. Chemistry and Biology portions had only two to three tricky questions.

Student’s perspective:

Physics again got the tag of the toughest section among the 3 sections.
-
Direct questions from sections such as Newton’s Laws of Motion, semiconductors, Einstein’s mass
– energy equation etc. -
Considering the whole paper, it was bit difficult to manage the time.

Physics paper was moderate and not much calculative.
-
Questions tested the basic understanding of the concepts.
-
Out of the 45 questions, 20 questions were based on 11th class and 25 questions on 12th class syllabus.
-
16 questions were easy and 24 were moderate. Only 5 questions are considered difficult.

Test takers found the Chemistry paper of NEET 2020 to be lengthier.

Students found this section difficult, reason being lengthy calculations.

Theoretical questions were a little difficult to solve.

Overall this section ranked easy to solve and scoring also.

Chemistry paper gave relief to the students. The paper was easy.

14 questions were quite easy. Similarly, 22questions were of moderate and 9 questions were difficult.

The maximum 24 questions were based on 12th class syllabus. 21 questions were based on 11th class syllabus

Test Takers perceive Biology questions very easy to solve.

But some of the questions were tricky from this section.

Most of the questions were straight from the NCERT syllabus.

Comparing to last years, biology question were quite easy.

30-Factual questions, 1-Numerical, 55 Conceptual, and 4- application based questions

The paper of Biology was easy this time but it was lengthy as well.

26 questions in the paper was quite easy, 31 medium level and 33 questions were of difficult level.

Maximum questions were based on NCERT syllabus. It covered 45 questions from class 11 syllabus while 45 questions were asked from 12th class syllabus. Comparing Botany and Zoology, 43 questions were asked from Botany while 47 questions came from Zoology.

Venper Experts feel that the difficulty level of NEET 2020 was easier than NEET - 2019. Biology and Chemistry were found to be almost equal difficulty level with Physics being comparatively difficult among all. Questions worth 224 Marks can be considered easy overall, 308 marks of moderate level and only 188 marks are considered difficult by Venper Team.
Overall the paper was found to be quite easier than NEET 2019. Compared to last year all subjects were found to be on easier side. Questions in Physics were not as calculative as last year and were conceptually simple. Biology section had maximum questions from NCERT but around 10 questions were bit tricky. In Chemistry, around 40 questions from total 45 were from NCERT and paper was also not calculative. Since the paper is easy than last year, the expected cut off should increase and is expected to around 570 to 590.
